We burned through the whole first season in two days while recouping from the honeymoon. I wish we had spaced it out more...

Besides the show being great, try picking out the influences they pulled from for a lot of the scenes.
And that score is fantastic.

I have actually watched that series 3 times fully, on my 4th watch now. I have discovered more and more small nods to the 80s and surprises every single time.
The score is by a Synthwave group called S U R V I V E (or rather 2 of the guys from that group.) I have loved synth for a while and its awesome that it has become much more popular. If you enjoy that music give a few of these a listen:
Lazerhawk, Kavinsky, Carpenter Brut, Bourgeoisie, Dance with the Dead, Perturbator, Mega Drive, Mitch Murder, Miami Nights 1984, Timecop 1983, and PowerGlove (they scored Farcry 3: Blood Dragon as well)

Sorry for the verbose response, I am quite a synth enthusiast.
The full soundtrack to Stranger Things should be out very soon according the composers.

No problem, I always enjoy discovering new music. Liking S U R V I V E so far. Not liking typing their name, though.

Agreed. “Omniverse” and “Black Mollies” are probably my favorite tracks of theirs. Really John Carpenter-ish atmospheric music.

I didn’t think it was possible, but you just piqued my interest even more.

Everything about that show is done to perfection. The fat kid who is basically Chunk from The Goonies is my favorite.
The series I just started now is Broadchruch. It is a British murder mystery. Super good so far.

Kavinsky is a good parallel for sure. His music videos are pretty cool too
